Pulmonologist
Pulmonology deals with diseases involving the respiratory tract, including the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders. Respiratory tract diseases can make sleep disorders worse, and vice versa. Therefore, a patient with sleep disorders may be referred to a pulmonologist.

Diagnosis begins with a conversation, listening to lung sounds with a stethoscope and measuring the volume of air inhaled and exhaled using spirometry.
